Frequently Asked Questions

  • Visit the 'contact' page by clicking here and complete the form. Our team will promptly reach out to you to schedule your consultation and booking with one of our artists.

  • No, we do not. Our artists work for themselves and are only in the shop for scheduled appointments. The best way to contact your artist is through email. Emails are responded to within 72 hours. Alternatively you can email the shop at contact@birdsofpreytattoo.au for any queries.

  • Our standard hourly rate is between $200-$250 with a minimum tattoo charge of $200. However, we value each client individually, and for smaller tattoo pieces, we provide upfront quotes rather than charging by the hour. This personalised approach will be discussed further during your consultation.

  • Yes, we require deposits for all bookings to secure your appointment. The deposit amount is $200, which will be deducted from the total cost of your tattoo. You're allowed up to two reschedules; however, beyond that, the deposit will be forfeited. Additionally, within 48 hours of your booking, the deposit becomes non-refundable in the event of cancellation or a no-show. For more details, please refer to our 'Deposit Policy' page.

  • Currently we are only accepting cash or bank transfer. There are no Eftpos facilities in the shop. We apologise for any inconvenience.

  • No, we do not offer any of these services or payment plans.

  • There is 3 hour parking on port road’s medium strip. Alternatively, there is $5/day parking at the Adelaide Entertainment Centre car park.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals, those with communicable diseases, or individuals under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be tattooed. Please note that Birds of Prey Tattoo reserves the right to refuse service to anyone, regardless of circumstances or conditions.

  • No, you can not. Absolutely no one under 18 will be tattooed, even with parental consent. Tattooing minors is illegal and carries a penalty of $5,000.00 or up to 12 months imprisonment.

  • We're okay with tattooing fingers here at the shop, but we draw the line at tattooing faces.

  • Absolutely, we can help with that. Before giving any advice, we'll need to take a look at your existing tattoo to determine the best approach. Sometimes, using laser tattoo removal to lighten the tattoo beforehand is the preferred option.

  • At our studio, we uphold high standards in tattooing, primarily showcasing our original designs. Nevertheless, we're open to inquiries about existing tattoos from other artists. Feel free to send us an image of the tattoo, and our artists will evaluate whether to proceed further, at their discretion.

  • The wait time for booking can range from as little as one day to as long as six months. This duration varies significantly based on factors such as the availability of the tattoo artist, the season, the size of the tattoo, and any necessary preparation.

  • Please make sure to eat before your appointment, even if you're not particularly hungry. It's essential to avoid low blood sugar levels during the tattooing process. Feel free to bring along a sugary drink and a snack to keep your energy levels up. For longer sessions, we'll schedule lunch or tea breaks, and there are plenty of excellent cafes nearby where you can grab a bite.
